SFWSC TASTING NOTES: This Malt Whiskey opens with an aromatic blend of bright citrus, honey, and tropical notes on the nose, giving way to a balanced palate of juicy orange, floral character, a hint of herbaceous funk, oak, and concludes with a sharp, lingering finish that reinforces its bold profile.

Essential Vermont Malt Whiskey is a collaboration with Split Spirits (formerly Appalachian Gap Distillery) that emerged as a creative solution to repurpose surplus beer that resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic shut down. Made by distilling Switchback Ale, the project has grown to include Essential Vermont Malt Whiskey and Essential Vermont Hopped Gin. Both are now available Vermont statewide and featured at Switchback's Beer Garden & Smokehouse.
