The Glass Rinser: Small Detail, Big Difference

You’re standing at the bar, watching your beer about to be poured. But just before the glass meets the tap, your bartender flips it upside down onto a strange little metal plate that hisses and sprays a quick, pressurized rinse.

What’s the deal with that?

That quick blast of water comes from our glass rinser, and while it might look like a party trick, it actually plays a big part in making your Switchback taste the way it’s supposed to.

It’s not about cleaning a dirty glass because we’ve already done that. It’s about prepping the glass for the perfect pour by rinsing away any leftover sanitizer, soap film or even that tiny speck of dust that may have landed in transit. The quick spray smooths the interior surface, helping the beer pour cleanly and build the perfect head on top. Plus, the it cools the glass to just the right temperature.

So yeah, that splash of water is not just theater! It’s a tiny move that sets you up a for better pint that's cleaner, fresher, and full of flavor.
